My husband has a group of friends he’s known his entire life. When I met Matt, I also met “the crew” and became fond of hanging out with the boys. I’ve always deeply cherished and respected the fact that, until this day, he’s close friends with every single one of them.
Shortly after Matt and I got hitched, KC, a long time best friend, met this amazing woman Hilda. Instantly Hilda and I connected and proclaimed sisterhood. The four of us became inseparable, devoting our time to the best memories we’ve ever had.
KC married his sweetheart and moved back to St. Louis (hometown to all the boys in the crew). Needless to say, when Frankie was born her Godparents were not near.
Godmother wrote this message on the day our little one came into our lives. I wanted to share this with everyone as a positive outlet to all preemie parents out there…I love this story, what a great way of expressing a near life altering experience!
Thank you Hilda, for identifying with me. You gave me comfort when I needed it most.

Happy Birthday Frankie
When we saw you today tears of joy fell down our face. We saw for the first time your innocent beautiful little face. All we could think was…”We wish we were there” And in that moment we understood what the purpose of life really is…We understood why God brings new innocent life into our world. You are here to remind us of how great it is to be alive! How great is it to love…
You are here a little earlier than expected, but that is normal for a lucky girl like you. Who can wait to be part of a life so special? You heard the commotion and felt the overwhelming emotion of so many of us anxiously awaiting your arrival. You knew it was time for a well needed blessing and surprise in our lives.
But most importantly you knew that you were on your way to meet
Your Mommy Aline: so beautiful and passionate, a sight to see…Dark long hair, beautiful loving brown eyes…She will steal your heart the moment she touches you. She will teach you everything about strength, loyalty, love and true friendship. She will keep you safe.
Your Daddy Matt: He will melt in your presence…With his quirky smiles, great sense of humor, artistic style and numerous talents. He will show you the world as only he can. You will feel a love no one ever thought possible. The same love he has for your beautiful mother…He will lead the way to your amazing future.
